Reading

This week we are reading...

 Meerkat Mail

Sunny lives in the Kalahari desert. Can you do some research to find out more about this place.

Key Questions:
Where in the world is it? (NESW, continent, country or countries)

What does it look like?

What animals live there?

What is the climate like?

Here are some videos about the Kalahari Desert:

This first video is a programme all about the Kalahari and it was made by David Attenborough. We watched some of his videos when we were learning about the continents. There is lots of fascinating information in them so listen and watch carefully to see what you can learn!

Special Task

Something that I have really enjoyed doing this time is doing jigsaw puzzles. It is fun to solve the puzzle by finding the right pieces and putting them in the right place, and at the end you have created a beautiful picture!

Today, I would like you to have a go at making your own jigsaw puzzle. You need either paper or card, some pencils or pens, and scissors. All you have to do is draw a picture of your choice and then carefully cut it up. Make sure that you cover the whole page with your drawing. Then give it to your parent/carer and see if they can solve your jigsaw.
