Forest - Monday
I hope you had a lovely weekend! This will be our last week of Reception learning. After the summer break you will all be starting Year 1!
Make sure you have a look at our Weekly Update to see your Reception friends and their learning from last week. You can find the Weekly Update and WOW Board here.
This week we are going to be learning about starfish!
Have you seen a starfish before?
This week we are going to read another non-fiction text. This time our non-fiction book is about starfish.
Remember a nonfiction text is one that tells you facts and information about the world around you. If it's about something that really happened or something that really exists, it is nonfiction.
Watch the video
Can you share with a family member what you learned about starfish from the video? What do they eat? Where do they live? Are they big or small?

We played this game last week but today I have added some new pictures. Can you find out the secret words? Look at the pictures below and write the first sound of each picture. Then put the sounds together and read what the secret word is. The first one has been done for you.

- Can you get 3 pairs of socks? Count by 2's to find out how many you have altogether.
- Can you get 4 pairs of socks? How many do you have altogether?
- Can you get 6 pairs of socks? How many sock do you have now?
Last week we learned how to keep our skin and clothes clean. This week we are going to explore some games that you could play safely with your friends at school. You can also play these games with your friends and family during the summer holidays. They will help you to remain a safe distance from others so you can still have some fun!
Watch the video below :)
I look forward to seeing your learning today!
